Return to the Three Gorges Show is a large-scale poetry cultural performance directed by Zhang Yimou. Following the huge success of the evening performance in Yanghsuo, Hangzhou and other cities of China. The excellent performance takes view of the White Emperor City, Kuimen and the Qutang Gorge as background, Chinese poetry as main line, landscape as carrier, adhere to the concept of ecological and environmental protection. You can simultaneously enjoy the magnificent natural landscape of the Yangtze Three Gorges, the unique local customs, as well the profound cultural heritage of China.

Zhang Yimou is a world-famous film director and also has directed many spectacular shows, including the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. He is also well know as the movies of “Raise the Red Lantern” and other two movies of Hero and the House of Flying Daggers, Two of them were nominated for Oscar.

He directed the on-site performance "Return to the Three Gorges,"on the majestic Yangtze River, which lasts about 1 hour, and uses high-tech presentation methods such as sound, light, and electricity to reproduce the artistic conception of poetry.

The back drops is magnificent, beautiful and intact nature of one of so many tributaries of the Yangtze River. The show is about one hour long, with 10 acts. Each act is themed on a famous poem.It’s a new generation of the open-air production and it is would be a very remarkable enjoyment while the cruise.
