What did we achieve in 2020? Do you think we should be proud?

Somewhere in March, just after we were granted permission for cruising on the Yangtze River, we announced brand new visits to secret places scattered along the Yangtze River. We introduced a visit to the magnificent Mt Wuling Great Rift Valley, to the 816 Underground Nuclear Military Bunker and to the The Yunyang Longgang National Geological Park.

We announced more itineraries even though we announced new ones only last year! We are certainly innovative – because we are the best Yangtze River Specialists! Our city breaks in Chongqing proved to be so popular that we included for the whole year!

 
In the second half of the 2020 we proudly announced the eighth addition to our Century family which is set to sail in September 2021.

With the naming of our newest vessel Victory, we wanted to emphasise victory, not just for us as the leading river cruise line on China’s Yangtze, but every single traveller who has come to China during this difficult time. We are all Victorious in overcoming our fears imposed by Covid19 – the restrictions on travel, limitations on work, on movement, on achievement. We rose above that fear and we are all looking forward to the future! We have all become Victorious!

 
Being at the fore front of innovation we introduced a longer cruise on the Yangtze River from Shanghai to Chongqing and vv. Longer, because instead of original 11 days we are cruising 15 days through more than 7 Provinces, 8 ancient cities, tasting four different cosines, exploring eight different scenic sites and discovering authentic shore excursions. 

Apart from launching new excursion, vessels, itineraries we also moved our office to new bigger and better premises, ones which reflect the status of the biggest and most dynamic cruise company on the Yangtze River. We relocated to the heart of Chongqing, where we belong, at the Chongqing International Finance Square (Chongqing IFS), located at Jiangbeizui CBD, the financial center of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area. The area is easily recognisable as it includes a 300-meter-high landmark skyscraper, and is easily accessible by the interchange station (Jiangbei Town Station) for metros Line 6 and Line 9 (under construction).  

Then just before we ended this year, we added extra good news to lift your spirit.We announced the river debut of our newest addition, Century Oasis, the ninth vessel in our ever-growing sleek and Eco-friendly fleet. The new vessel, Century Oasis, will follow in the footsteps of her sisters, Century Glory and Century Victory, in being built from scratch, not rebuilt, with a high-end interior design, which would make a five-star hotel blush with envy. Hence the name Oasis.

 
For such challenging year, full of uncertainty we at Century Cruises, managed to come on the other side stronger, more evaporating and hopeful in the better years to come.
